I was nominated by the superbly wonderful, dearest friend Marina @Books Of Magic for the Mystery Blogger Award. Millions of thanks for the nomination and if you haven’t visited her beautiful blog then, a) what are you doing with your lives, and b) Go visit it NOW! Go on, I’ll sit here waiting.
Rules:
1. Put the award logo on your blog.
2. Thank whoever nominated you and include a link to their blog.
3. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link to their blog as well. (Maggie @okoto enigmas blog)
4. Tell your readers three things about yourself.
5. Nominate 10-20 people.
6. Notify your nominees.
7. Ask your nominees any five questions of your choice, specifying one weird/funny question.
8. Share a link to your best post(s).
Three things about me:
- I am a Cancer. Which means that I am potentially dangerous. Which means that my temper is more changeable than a baby’s. I am a dedicated homebody and I love my parents more than anything in this world. All Cancer traits and I carry them proudly.
- I am a teacher. I teach English as a Foreign Languages to children ranging from 6 years old to 15 and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
- I wanted to be a coroner when I was younger or a neurosurgeon. To fill the gap between my childhood ambitions and reality (not that I complain…) I have watched the CSI franchise with fervent attention. My favourite is CSI:Las Vegas.
Marina’s questions:
1.Is there anything you’re proud of doing/achieving and what is it?
My relationship with children. I always marvel at how generous children are once they are convinced that they can trust you and rely on you for even the slightest consolation. I didn’t think I’d have the amount of patience required for this job but after almost 11 years in the profession I can say that ”never say never”.
2.In your perfect dictatorship day-dream, which book would you ban and which one you’d give to the masses for free?
I swear to God, I would never ever ban a book no matter how offensive or ludicrous it may be. I must admit that I would love to see those horrible ”books” with the half-naked torsos exterminated but this is a personal opinion. However, I would offer George Orwell’s 1984. No, I wouldn’t offer it. I would exercise my dictator’s rights and declare it a book that everyone would have to read. An odd choice for a dictator, though, eh?
3.If Edward Cullen bit you and you gained immortality, what would you dedicate your life to? After being properly disinfected and de-sparkled of course.
On the unlikely occasion that I would let this slug come anywhere near me, I would still dedicate my life to educating children.
4.Imagine your ultimate reading moment – the setting, the time, the weather conditions, the chair coziness aspect, every bit.
A nice, cosy apartment in Stockholm. In Gamla Stan, to be precise, during the early autumn. Late evening, lying on a comfy sofa placed by an arched window overlooking Lake Mälaren.
(you’re welcome…)
5. Why is a raven like a writing desk? 😅 (this is the weird/funny question obviously)
Because it provides inspiration. See Poe’s ”Nevermore” 🙂
…I totally missed the point here, didn’t I?…..
My best post:
I never consider my posts to be ”best” but I admit I am very proud of this one:
https://theopinionatedreaderblog.wordpress.com/2018/03/23/aetherial-worlds/
I nominate:
(As Frankie @ Freed by Fiction and Grainne @ Darkly Whimsical Reader are already nominated, these are my 8 nominations for the Mystery Blogger Award:)
Melanie @Mel to the Any
Callum @ Callum McLaughlin
MistressoftheInk @Inkblots and Icebergs
Lauren @Books Beyond the Story
Rachel @Rachel’s Rambling Reflections
Jenaca @Jenacide by Bibliophile
Paula @Book Jotter
Emm @Blood Red Velvet
My terribly unoriginal questions:
1) How do you deal with reading slumps?
2) Is there any place anywhere in the world that you loved because of a book?
3) Do you finish books that you simply can’t stomach?
4) What do you consider as the greatest invention?
5) Weird question alert!!! If you could be any home appliance, which one would you be and why?
Thank you so much, Marina!!
I can’t wait to read all of your replies!!!
Thank you for the nomination – that’s very kind 😊

First of all, Amalia, *blushiiiing*, you’re too kind 🙂 ❤ Second, I love your facts and answers and questions!! CSI Las Vegas is my favorite too!! I've watched it a million times 🙂 Then comes Miami because of Horatio of course, and the worst was New York but still good 🙂
It's so cool that you teach and love to work with children! They always seem to like me, but I just don't know how to handle them 😀 I laughed so much for your 1984 and immortality answers hahaha and your dream reading experience sounds perfect ❤
For the funny question – Carroll actually gave an answer because he was frustrated with people constantly asking him, so I though someone will use it, but everyone's been creative so far, and I love your answer! 😀
I love your questions too and can't resist answering the weird one – I'd be a toaster! Because The Brave Little Toaster is my ultimate childhood movie, and I love it to bits! ❤

Thank you so much, Marina!!! Yes, CSI New York was pretty average compared to the other two but it had some attractive detectives for sure:) The questions were terrific!! They were excellent, truly! Not to mention the ”weird” question. By the way, have I told you how much I love ravens?
The toaster is a great choice. I’d be a fridge, freezing everyone’s evil thoughts and feelings….Is that cruel or what?
Once again, tons of thanks for the nomination! You have really, really helped me escape my shell and enjoy these tags!

Hahaha true 😀 Oh I adore ravens! 🙂 Hahaha no, that’s not cruel at all, as far as I’m concerned 😀

This is crazy! You and I have so much in common. I’m not kidding you… I’m a cancer, I’m going to school to be a teacher, and when I was young I wanted to be a surgeon. How cool is that?
